A note to the Sand Point community from the organizers…

Over the past 14 years, the Sand Point neighborhood has generously donated over $45,000 and 34,000 pounds of food and toiletries through the annual Sand Point Thanksgiving food drive.

THANK YOU!

As we all know, the need for your support remains as important as ever.

In light of last year’s incredible success, we will keep our 2022 food drive virtual.

The food bank will stretch your donation dollars surprisingly far, and because we want to do our part to limit community contact as much as possible, we will be doing an on-line and mail-in fundraising drive.

  • On-line: Donate directly to the “Sand Point Neighborhood Food Drive” through our online giving portal. You can direct your gift to the “Sand Point Neighborhood Food Drive” which helps support our general operations.
  • By check: Make checks payable to “University District Food Bank Mail” or just “UDFB” and mail them to
University District Food Bank, 5017 Roosevelt Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105  Put “Sand Drive Neighborhood Food Drive” on the memo line so we can count your participation in this year’s totals.
  • Food donations: If you are unable to make a cash donation at this time but still want to support the food bank, you can drop off food donations Monday – Saturday. Check the food donation guidelines at https://www.udistrictfoodbank.org/donate/food/   Key needs this year include: toiletries (toilet paper and soap are great options), menstruation products (pads and tampons), large diapers, hearty soups, crunchy peanut butter and alternative nut butters, easy to microwave meals, dairy alternatives (soy, oat, and rice milk are popular), condiments/spices/sauces, and new pairs of socks.
