What is it?
A group of shoppers who meet monthly to:
- Discuss what’s happening at the food bank
- Share ideas to improve shopping experiences
- Help make decisions that impact shoppers
What’s being offered?
- Transportation stipend
- Meal/snacks at meetings
- Interpretation and/or childcare support if needed
- Meeting times based on participants’ availability

Who can join?
If you…
- Shop at UDFB on Roosevelt & 50th or get food from the Apple a Day Cafe
- Can meet for 2 hours per month from January to December 2026
- Care for your neighbors
- Want to help make UDFB a more inclusive placeMeal/snacks at meetingsInterpretation and/or childcare support if needed
- Meeting times based on participants’ availability
- Share ideas to improve shopping experiences
- Help make decisions that impact shoppers
How do I apply?
- Application is open from October 20th until November 17th
- Ask a staff member for a paper application at UDFB or apply online at udistrictfoodbank.org/council
- We will have application support outside the pantry
- (see back for dates and times)
- We encourage shoppers with diverse lived experiences, skills, and perspectives to apply!Can meet for 2 hours per month from January to December 2026
