Five local breweries create a beer to benefit the Food Bank

It’s a wonderful day in Mister Hazy’s Neighborhood!

Sales of a new beer crafted by five northeast Seattle breweries will benefit the University District Food Bank. Two dollars from the sale of each pint will go to fund programs at the Food Bank.

The beer went on sale on Saturday, April 15, 2023 and will be available for a limited time.

Breweries who got together for this “collab” are Ladd & Lass Brewing, Bottleworks Beer, Big Time Brewery & Alehouse, Burke Gilman Brewing Company and Project 9 Brewing Co.

Mister Hazy’s Neighborhood is a double hazy India pale ale. What will it taste like? The brewers have a preview:

“Expect this hazy double IPA to smack you with loads of ripe papaya and guava, a whisper of juicy sauvignon blanc, and a light piney resin — all set against a soft, oat-saturated body. And a bloody good cause.”

Here is where you’ll find Mister Hazy’s Neighborhood, starting April 15:

Thank you to these great local breweries for their generous support!

2023 marks the 40th year of the University District Food Bank and our 28th annual auction benefit. Please join us on Saturday, October 7, at St. Demetrios in Montlake for dinner, drinks, live and silent auctions, and more to raise vital funds for our food purchasing budget!
