Advocacy

The work that we do every day to keep our neighbors well fed is critical and lifesaving. However, we also work hard with local, state and federal lawmakers to ensure that fewer of our neighbors need help in the first place. We can’t do it alone though. In fact, your voice is often times more opinion changing than comments from those of us “in the trenches”. If ending hunger in our community is important to you, then please add your voice to our work.

Several of our partners provide both informational emails and action alerts that will let you take action with just a few clicks. Please consider signing up for one or more of these.

If you are interested in local advocacy opportunities in support of the University District Food Bank, please contact our Executive Director, Joe Gruber, and he can talk about current or future ways to get involved.

Thanks for choosing to participate!
